Peerless Securities
Peerless Securities Ltd. [PSL] incorporated in 1995 is a SEBI registered Financial Intermediary Company in the Peerless Group holding membership of National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). In addition to the above, the Company is also registered with National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) as a Depository Participant. It is also an ARN holder for Mutual Funds and is registered with SEBI as Research Analyst (R & A). Currently, the Company has a total of 10 branches spread across West Bengal and one branch in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Company also serves its clients through Business Associates mostly in West Bengal.
PSL is considered as ‘One Stop Financial Supermarket’ that offers a diverse range of retail & institutional - investment support products and services to its clients. The bouquet of products and services includes broking services to Retail & Institutional clients in Equities, Derivatives, Commodities, Currency, Bonds, Fixed Deposits, DEMAT & repository as well as distribution of mutual funds, etc. It offers technology driven value-added services to its clients viz. PSIP, Margin Financing, NCDs etc. The Company also provides mobile application PSMART which facilitates share trading and Mr. PIP which can be used for Mutual Fund distribution and has enabled facility of Digital Account Opening- a paperless onboarding facility of new clients.
Our Heritage
- The Peerless Insurance Co. Ltd. launched in 1932 by a 33-year old high school teacher, Late Radhashyam Roy, the founder, and like minded idealist friends, at Dhaka's port of Narayanganj, now in Bangladesh.
- Starting with paid up capital of Rs.300, it became a leading Provident Insurance Company, before moving to Kolkata.
- Following nationalization of life insurance in 1956, focus turned on small savings: India's first Non-banking Finance Company.
- Late B. K. Roy, considered as Architect of the modern Peerless, pioneered the concept of doorstep service for mobilizing small savings from semi-urban and rural areas. Peerless introduced the concept of direct marketing by engaging agents through its Swarojgar Yojana. Agency system designed to promote self-employment, while ensuring operational control of a massive infrastructure. Also, free insurance benefit against accidental death, introduced in the year 1972 with savings schemes.
- From a modest beginning in Narayanganj, now in Bangladesh, Peerless has come a long way indeed. The Peerless General Finance & Investment Co. Ltd. (PGFI) or Peerless as it is known far and wide, has 8 proud decades of experience behind it and a family of four crore customers who put their implicit faith in the brand.

Dibyendra Nath Sengupta
He has been associated with The Metal Box Company Limited for a very long time in various positions and thereafter joined A. F. Ferguson & Co. where he held the position of Director. He has also been a Full-time Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad & Calcutta and various other reputed Management Institutes in India including Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai.
Deepak Kumar Mukerjee
He is a seasoned Banking professional with 38 years commercial banking experience and 20 years in Corporate Governance, Management and Financial Consultancy. A former Managing Director & CEO of IDBI Bank Ltd., Mr. Mukerjee is currently the Chairman of Peerless Financial Services Limited. He is also a Director in Peerless Hospitex Hospital and Research Center Ltd. and The Peerless General Finance & Investment Co Ltd. In addition to the above, he is also a member of the Governing Board of the “Society for Preservation of Satyajit Ray Archives” (popularly known as Ray Society) in Kolkata. Appointed to the Board of Peerless Securities Ltd. as Non – Executive Independent Director.
Niranjan Saha
He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He was associated with M/s Ray & Ray, Chartered Accountants from 1964 to March, 2005 and was a Managing Partner for five years. Mr. Saha was also a Central Council Member of ICAI from 2001 to 2004. Currently, Mr. Saha is a Director of Peerless Hotels Limited since 2006. Appointed to the Board of Peerless Securities Ltd. as Non – Executive Independent Director.
Asoke Kumar Mukhuty
Mr A K Mukhuty, is a Chartered Accountant by qualification. He is associated with Peerless for the last 42 years when he joined Peerless General Finance &Investment Company Ltd. (PGFI) in 1980 as an Officer. Mr. Mukhuty has become Wholetime Director of PGFI and designated as Director Finance & CFO Mr Mukhuty is also a member of the Board of Directors of Kaizen Leisure & Holidays Ltd. and Peerless Commodities Ltd.
Atul Kumar Bajpai
Associated with Peerless Group since 1987, Mr. A. K. Bajpai is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has guided the Company for more than two decades with his widespread knowledge and rich experience in the Industry. His leadership has made the Company an established player of the industry. He is responsible for policy implementation and management of various functions. He sets company’s strategic direction while overseeing all operations and management matters.
Santanam Swaminathan
He has close to 30 years of experience in areas of finance, accounts, secretarial, legal, compliance and corporate governance.Currently, he is designated Vice President, Accounts & Compliances with PGFI handling the entire gamut of compliance and accounts functions, including financial reporting, governance matters, oversight of audit process and is a key member of various restructuring & strategic initiatives across the Peerless group.
Kanchan Chaudhuri
Kanchan ChaudhuriMr. Kanchan Chaudhuri is an MBA in Finance and has more than two decades of rich experience in Risk Management, Surveillance, Compliance and Sales & Marketing. Mr. Kanchan Chaudhuri has been associated with Peerless Securities Ltd since 2011 and has been designated as the Whole-Time Director of the Company since June, 2022.
Suman Banerjee
Suman Banerjee Mr. Suman Banerjee has more than two decades of rich experience in Technical & Operational Support in the area of IT Security, IT Development & IT Infrastructure, Software Designing & Development, IT Application Delivery, IT/IS Strategy & Road-map, Data Centre Management, Disaster Recovery & Cyber Security. He has done Masters in Computer Application, Post-Graduation Diploma in Software Technology & System Management. Associated with Peerless Securities Ltd since 2005, Mr. Suman Banerjee is currently designated as the Whole-Time Director of the Company since June, 2022.
