Technical Approach and Compatibility

This website is built using ASP.NET MVC 4.5, Bootstrap 5, and standard HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript. We have implemented, or are in the process of implementing, the following accessibility features:

• Semantic HTML5 landmark regions (<header>, <main>, <footer>, <nav>)
• ARIA labels, roles, and live regions for dynamic content
• Keyboard-navigable interface including carousels, navigation menus, and forms
• Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users
• Resizable text without loss of content or functionality (zoom up to 200%)
• Colour contrast ratios meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for normal text (AA)
• Descriptive alternative text on all informative images
• Form fields associated with visible labels
• Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
• An integrated on-page Accessibility Widget providing: high contrast, text resize, grayscale, reading guide, dyslexia-friendly font, and a screen reader mode

Known Accessibility Limitations

A formal accessibility audit was conducted in March 2026 using the A11yInspect automated testing tool, supplemented by manual testing. The audit identified the following known limitations which are currently being remediated. We aim to resolve all critical and major issues by the dates specified in our remediation roadmap (Section 5).

Remediation Roadmap

We have defined a structured remediation plan to address all identified issues in order of severity and user impact:

1. March 2026
   Phase 1
   Critical Failures — All Pages Colour contrast update (CSS), social/app-store icon link labels (aria-label), carousel controls, viewport zoom fix, and callback form label. Estimated: 20 items resolved.
2. April 2026
   Phase 2
   Major Failures — Homepage & Layout Replace <marquee> with accessible CSS ticker, fix heading structure (H1, H3 hierarchy), resolve duplicate link text, hide decorative icons from screen readers.
3. May 2026
   Phase 3
   Manual Validation — All 171 Images Human review of all image alt text across the website to ensure descriptions are accurate, meaningful, and not redundant. Testimonial star ratings to be labelled numerically.
4. June 2026
   Phase 4
   Best Practice & Inner Pages Landmark regions, advisory toast wrapper, accessibility widget ARIA enhancements. Extended to all inner product and utility pages. Full manual screen reader testing (NVDA + JAWS).
5. July 2026
   Phase 5
   Full Re-Audit and Statement Update Commission a comprehensive accessibility audit of all pages post-remediation. Update this statement to reflect the revised conformance status. Target: Full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance.

This statement was prepared in March 2026 based on a formal accessibility audit conducted using the A11yInspect automated evaluation tool, manual keyboard testing, and evaluation against WCAG 2.2 success criteria. It was prepared by the IT Department, Peerless Securities Limited.

This statement will be reviewed and updated at minimum annually, or whenever a material change is made to the website that may affect its accessibility. The next scheduled review is March 2027.
