Known Accessibility Limitations

A formal accessibility audit was conducted in March 2026 using the A11yInspect automated testing tool, supplemented by manual testing. The audit identified the following known limitations which are currently being remediated. We aim to resolve all critical and major issues by the dates specified in our remediation roadmap (Section 5).

Audit scope: The audit covered the homepage (index) and the shared layout used across all pages. 71 failures, 171 items requiring manual validation, and 68 best-practice recommendations were identified. The table below lists consolidated issue categories with the highest user impact.
Issue WCAG SC Level Impact Status
Colour contrast below 4.5:1
Brand colour #F03C02 on white (ratio 3.92:1) affects body text, links, and CTA buttons across all pages
1.4.3 AA Major In remediation — Q1 2026
Missing accessible names on icon links
Social media links (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and app-store download links contain only icon fonts with no text alternative
4.1.2 A Critical In remediation — Q1 2026
Hero carousel missing accessible controls
Previous/Next controls and slide indicators lacked programmatic labels; role="listbox" incorrectly applied to carousel wrapper
4.1.2 A Critical Resolved — March 2026
Deprecated <marquee> element
The disclaimer ticker in the footer uses the deprecated HTML marquee element, which cannot be paused by keyboard users
2.2.2 A Critical In remediation — Q1 2026
Missing H1 heading
The homepage does not define a level-1 heading; heading levels are skipped (H4 before H3, H5 without H4 context)
1.3.1 A Minor In remediation — Q1 2026
Callback form — missing label
The mobile number input in the footer callback form has no programmatic label; the submit button contains only an icon
4.1.2 A Critical In remediation — Q1 2026
Duplicate link text — "Learn More"
Multiple "Learn More" buttons point to different destinations with no distinguishing accessible label
2.4.4 A Major In remediation — Q1 2026
Decorative icons not hidden from assistive technology
FontAwesome and Bootstrap icon elements used for decoration are not marked aria-hidden="true" and are read aloud by screen readers unnecessarily
1.1.1 A Minor In remediation — Q1 2026
Viewport zoom restriction
Some page templates contain user-scalable=no and maximum-scale=1 preventing low-vision users from zooming
1.4.4 AA Major Resolved — March 2026
Third-party live chat widget (Tawk.to)
Interactive nesting of elements within the Tawk.to chat button does not fully conform; remediation dependent on vendor
2.4.3 A Major Vendor notified — monitoring

Section 5
